Getting Started

How do I get started?

Install the Greenside Live app from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in if a course admin has already invited you — use the same email they invited, and your club membership and any event invitations activate automatically. Otherwise, create an account and enter your club's invite code, or request access from the sign-up screen.

How do I join my club?

Three paths:1. Your course admin adds your email — you'll get an email with install links and your membership activates the moment you sign in.2. You have a club invite code (something like YOUR-CLUB-1A2B) — enter it on the sign-up screen.3. You sign up first, then ask a club admin to invite you to their course.

How do I join an event?

Your course admin adds you to the event roster. You'll receive an email invitation with App Store and Google Play install links. If you sign up with the same email the invitation came to, the event automatically appears in your home tab — no claim step needed. Already signed in? The event shows up the next time you open the app.

Using the App

How do live streams work?

Courses with Greenside streaming hardware broadcast events live to participants. The Watch tab in the mobile app shows live and scheduled streams for events you're invited to, plus replays of past rounds at your home course.

How do picks and contests work?

Greenside Live supports friendly side games tied to events: head-to-head matchups, prediction pools, and parimutuel-style contests. Pools settle automatically when the round closes. Payments are tracked but settled between players directly — typically via Venmo or cash.

How do Quick Games work?

Quick Games let any foursome score a round together without setting up a full event. Tap +, pick your players from the club roster (or add a guest by name), choose a format (Skins, Nassau, Wolf, Vegas, or BBB), and start scoring. Works offline through course dead zones — scores sync when signal returns.

How do I change my profile photo?

In the app, go to Profile and tap your avatar circle. Take a new photo with your camera or pick one from your library.

Account & Privacy

How do I delete my account?

In the mobile app, go to Profile and scroll to the bottom — tap the red Delete Account button. You'll be asked to enter your current password and type DELETE to confirm. Your account is anonymized within seconds and all active sessions are signed out. If you can't access the app, email support@greenside.live from the address on your account.

Is my payment information stored?

We only store the payment-app usernames you choose to share (Venmo handle, etc.) so other players can pay you after a round. We do not process, store, or transmit any actual financial transactions — all payments happen directly between players in their preferred app.

How do I report another user or a safety issue?

In the app: tap a user's profile → Report or Block. Blocked users can't message you or see your content. For urgent safety concerns, email support@greenside.live directly so we can take immediate action.

What data does Greenside collect?

Your name, email, optional phone, optional handicap, payment-app usernames you choose to share, photos you upload, scores and picks you record, and chat messages within event groups. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Troubleshooting

I'm signed in but I don't see any events

Most likely you're not attached to a club yet. Ask your course admin to invite you, or enter a club invite code on the sign-up screen. Once you're a member of a course, events and live streams from that course become visible. Quick Games work without club membership.

I scored offline and my scores aren't syncing

Open the app while connected to Wi-Fi or cell data — scores sync automatically. If a sync indicator stays orange after a few minutes of being online, pull-to-refresh on the scoring screen forces a manual sync.

My live stream looks stuck or buffering

Live streams need a stable connection. If buffering persists, try toggling between Wi-Fi and cell data, or reload the stream by going back to the Watch tab and re-entering. Replays available after the event ends are more bandwidth-flexible.

I didn't get an email I was expecting

Check your spam or promotions folder — invitation emails from notifications@greenside.live and noreply@greenside.live are sometimes filtered on first send. Mark our sender as trusted to ensure future delivery. Still can't find it? Email us and we'll resend.
